Avelios Project – Hoplon and Avelios Successfully Close Financing to European Real Estate Developer

Hoplon Opportunities Fund I SCSp (Fund), advised by Hoplon Investment Partners LLP (Hoplon) & Avelios Alternative Assets Ltd (Avelios) have successfully provided a circa EUR 6m corporate secured loan to a European Real Estate Developer. The facility allows the sponsor to pursue an attractive new European investment pipeline, without the need to monetise existing assets.

The two young and dynamic companies delivered a very fast execution, with only four weeks between initiating high-level terms and funding the transaction.

In this deal, we drew comfort from the strong sponsor track record, number of quality deals in the portfolio, and the real estate exit valuations that made sense, even in conservative scenarios.

We have been evaluating Real Estate assets for some time and expect the Fund to undertake more transactions in this asset class given Covid-19 dislocations.”
