Avelios was proud to partner with the Vision Foundation, a charity that transforms the lives of people in London with sight loss, in the refurbishment of Yotel Shoreditch.
The hotel was re-branded as part of the refurbishment, resulting in some of the existing room furniture and furnishings, including artwork, becoming redundant.
Avelios donated these items to the Vision Foundation, for ‘up-cycling’ and re-sale through their on-line and city-wide charity store network.
All proceeds from the sales will go to the Vision Foundation, supporting projects that involve, empower and include blind and partially sighted people in London from inception through to delivery.
Avelios CEO, Duncan Souster, commented “We were delighted to work with the Vision Foundation on this initiative. In many instances, the real estate industry is guilty of jettisoning items during refurbishments, condemning them to landfill. It is important we re-consider the potential of these assets and how they can be re-purposed to support the community at large.”
